I stepped away from the drawing table for a couple of hours yesterday to enjoy my street’s annual Big Lunch in the welcome sunshine. I’ve missed the last couple for various reasons so this was the first time I’ve been able to check out the neighbours properly! It was very well organised with live music courtesy of a samba band, bagpipes and theremin (sometimes simultaneously). Lots of allotment/garden produce amongst the food, I noticed, which was great to see. And I got to judge the cake competition – result!
