About The Smidgens

Gafferty Sprout is a Smidgen.

Smidgens are exactly like humans… if you could fit a human into an old peanut butter jar. They used to be everywhere, but it’s dangerous being so small and now Gafferty and her family are the only ones left.

Until Gafferty finds a clue that there are still other Smidgen clans out there. She has to find them! But as she sets out on a BIG adventure Gafferty discovers she’s not the only one looking for the lost clans, and that three inches of Smidgen hold more secrets than she ever imagined.

Reviews

… the Smidgens’ adventures are funny as well as charming and with just the right amount of 21st century edge and sharpness. The first in a series which is certain to capture children’s imagination.

I loved this book! I don’t think I could’ve been more enchanted by this enormous adventure filled with tiny people. The concept is fresh and the characters reel you in from the get-go.

There is SO much to love about this terrific adventure story. David snares the reader’s attention from the outset and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout; along with the tension, there’s humour and charm, wonderful characterisation, and such clever disguises.

This is a captivating story packed full of humour and excitement …

The Smidgens will bring a lot of gentle pleasure and laughs into the lives of young readers.

The Smidgens is a rollicking adventure about the tiny humans with big hearts. There is something in this story for everyone, from nail-biting chases and clever disguises, to vile villains and teeny heroes.

Get set for a rollicking series of fun filled, scary adventures to come and if book one is anything to go by The Smidgens will fast become sought after, beloved characters…
